Stock Charts on Telegram, and Faster Screener Formulas

Kajo Kangin Studio has added stock charts to DataSahamBot, the Telegram bot of the Data Saham Indonesia app, and extended the formula language behind the Stock Screener, Stock Scoring, Formula-Based Alert and Formula Evaluator features.

Charts in DataSahamBot

Send a stock code to DataSahamBot — /bbca — and it replies with a chart, ready to read on a phone.

• 17 timeframes, from yearly down to 1-minute bars — the same as the screener and the alerts.
• More than 20 indicators, from moving averages, Bollinger Bands and MACD to foreign flow and broker accumulation, including the new DT Oscillator panel.
• Your own formulas on the chart. tql() draws any value the screener can compute, as a line or a histogram; signal() puts buy and sell arrows on the bars where a condition becomes true. Several formulas can share a panel, each on its own scale where their values differ in size, in colours of your choosing.
• Zoom buttons under every chart, a dark theme, and your favourite indicators saved with /indicator.

The bot also delivers Price Alerts and Formula-Based Alerts to Telegram once it is linked from the app’s Link to Telegram menu. DataSahamBot: Alerts and Stock Charts on Telegram walks through linking the bot and every chart feature, with examples.

Screener formulas: less to type, more to say

• New timeframes: 2min, 3min, 10min, 30min, 45min, 2hour and 3hour, alongside the existing ones.
• Crosses: rsi(14) cross_up 30, close cross_down sma(20) * 0.98, ema(12) cross_up ema(26) — either side can be a number, an indicator or a whole formula.
• A formula on an earlier bar: prev(close - open), prev_3(high - low).
• Shorthand names: xu and xd for the crosses, stok, stod, dtok, dtod, macdh, bbtop, bbbot, vol, nbsa and more, plus the TradingView names crossover and crossunder.
• Underscores are optional: codeindex("LQ45") is the same as code_index("LQ45").
• New price fields: hlc3 (typical price) and ohlc4.
• The DT Oscillator functions dto_stochk and dto_stochd accept %K and %D periods from 1 and periods up to 100.
